Hydraulic
Valve Addition
Parker Hannifin
Corporation's Hydraulic Valve Division has announced an addition
to its Colorflow series of hydraulic and pneumatic control valves.
Parker is the originator of the color-band scale on flow control
and needle valvesa feature that provides a highly visible
reference for setting valve openings accurately and quickly. The
product line will now include optional stainless steel parts in
flow control, pressure compensated flow control, needle, and check
valve functions. Each valve style will be available in several
popular sizes, with maximum pressure ratings up to 345 Bar (5000
PSI). Uses for the stainless steel valves include food processing,
car washes, chemical processing, and offshore applications. Colorflow
valves can be used in both OEM and retrofit installations.
Funding
opportunities
NineSigma,
an organization that specializes in the research and development
enterprise, announces the release of ProposalNeta secure,
no-risk resource for identifying, qualifying, and matching R&D
buyers and suppliers. ProposalNet is a software clearinghouse
designed to attract worldwide funding opportunities for proposed
discovery, development, and commercialization initiatives, particularly
from the private sector. Universities, research organizations,
government labs, and companies, including small businesses, can
showcase their newest science, technology, research and development,
and commercialization proposals, replacing the current ad hoc
nature of finding private-sector backers for research projects.
Such approaches can be expensive (e.g., opportunity costs, person-hours,
publicizing costs, etc.), time-consuming, and hit-or-miss. The
ProposalNet Web-based user interface puts proposals in front of
a global set of buyers faster, cheaper, and more effectively than
newsletter ads, conference proceedings, and other paper media.
