Registration Conditions

All registration rates

All mailed registrations must be postmarked by the deadline date to be eligible for the applicable rate. Purchase order payments must be received by the close of registration or the registration will be cancelled.

Student rate

Students must present their current student ID at registration. Students are qualified for the bring-a-student program only if sponsored by a member or nonmember paying the full registration fee. The full participant must register a student under the Bring-A-Student Registration guidelines below. Only one student per full paid registrant is allowed.

Spouse/guest rate

Spouses/guests and children must be registered for the conference to participate in any conference event. The only exception is the ASEE picnic (tickets for non-registered individuals are $45). Another faculty member or peer is not considered a spouse/guest and must be registered as a full registrant.

Industry Day rate

The industry day rate is available only to members of industry who otherwise would not have attended the ASEE Annual Conference. ASEE members are not eligible.

BRING-A-STUDENT PROGRAM

Give a student at your university the chance to experience the 2008 ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition. Each full conference registrant has the opportunity to bring one student to the conference at no additional charge. This complimentary student registration includes admission to the technical sessions and the exposition, allows students to register for all tours, including the conference bag/program/proceedings, and allows entry to the annual reception on Wednesday evening. To be eligible, the student must:

• Be currently enrolled in a college or university;
• Be registered on a full-conference registrant’s form;
• Accompany the full-conference registrant to registration
  with his or her current student ID.

Note: Only one student may be registered as “Bring-a-Student” per full-conference registration.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of registrations and all ticketed events must be received in writing before the close of registration. A $50 processing fee will apply to all registration cancellations. Refunds will not be made for no-shows or for requests received after the close of registration. No exceptions will be made.

Registration Hours

MEETING INFORMATION

All technical sessions, business meetings (except where otherwise listed), meal events, the exposition and workshops will be held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. The Annual Awards Reception and Banquet will be held in the Westin Convention Center Hotel. The Annual Picnic will be held on the Rooftop Terrace at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Technical sessions and the Exposition are open to all full-paid member or nonmember conference registrants.

SPOUSE/GUEST HOSPITALITY SUITE

All registered spouses, guests and children are welcome to enjoy the spouse/guest Hospitality Suite:

Spouses, guests or children must be registered and wear their conference badge for admission.

TICKET SALES

To order tickets for workshops, meal functions and special events, please visit the ASEE registration http://www.asee.org/conferences/annual/2008/Registration.cfm. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that on-site ticket sales close the day before the event takes place. Be sure to register early, as space is limited. Tickets bought on-site will be assessed a $10 on-site charge.
