There are three ways to register for the annual conference:

   Please note: Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard or AMEX) and purchase orders are the only acceptable forms of payment online. If a purchase order is used as payment, a copy must be faxed to the registrar’s attention, (202) 265-8504, with all the names of the registrants, once online registration is completed.

Registration Conditions

All registration rates

All mailed registrations must be postmarked by the deadline date to be eligible for the applicable rate.

Retiree Member rate

To be eligible for this rate you must be both (1) a current ASEE member in good standing, and (2) you must have been in the Retired Member membership category as of Dec. 31, 2006.

Student rate

Students must present their current student ID at registration.

Spouse/guest rate

Spouses/guests and children must be registered for the conference to participate in any conference event. The only exception is the Society-Wide Picnic (tickets for nonregistered individuals are $45). Another faculty member or peer is not considered a spouse/guest and must be registered as a full registrant.

Industry Day rate

The Industry Day rate is available only to members of industry who otherwise would not have attended the ASEE annual conference. This rate is valid only for Tuesday, June 26, 2007. ASEE members are not eligible.

BRING-A-STUDENT PROGRAM

Give a student at your university the chance to experience the 2007 ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition. Each full-conference registrant will have the opportunity to bring one student to the conference at no additional charge. This complimentary student registration includes admission to the technical sessions and the exposition, allows students to register for all tours and includes the conference bag/program/proceedings and entry to the annual reception on Wednesday evening. To be eligible, the student must:

• Be currently enrolled in a college or university
• Be registered on a full-conference registrant’s form
• Accompany the full-conference registrant to registration with his or her current student ID
  

Note: Only one student may be registered as “Bring-a-Student” per full-conference registration.

Purchase Order Payments

If you submit a purchase order as payment for your registration (including guests and tickets), payment must be received by ASEE within 30 days of the date submitted. Final payment for all purchase orders must be received by the advance registration deadline of May 23, 2007 or your registration will be cancelled and you will have to pay the full registration rate on-site in order to get your credentials. Please note that registrations with purchase orders older than 30 days will be cancelled. In the event your registration is cancelled due to nonpayment of your purchase order, you can re-register and the current applicable rate will apply.

All purchase orders must be paid before the advance registration deadline of May 23, 2007.

Payment for on-site registration must be made with cash, credit card or check at the time of registration. Deferred billing is not available for on-site registration.

Confirmation

A confirmation will be sent via fax or e-mail for mailed or faxed registrations within three to five days of receiving registration form. Online registrations will have an immediate confirmation. Please be sure to bring a copy of your confirmation with you to on-site registration.

Invoices

An invoice will be automatically sent out via e-mail for payments on purchase orders. Please be sure to include an e-mail address for the person who should receive and pay the invoice.

Ticket Sales

To order tickets for workshops, meal functions, professional tours, special events and family tours, complete the ticketed event section of the conference registration form. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that on-site ticket sales close the day before the event takes place. Be sure to register early as space is limited. Tickets bought on-site will be assessed a $10 on-site charge. Take advantage of discounted ticket prices and purchase tickets online during the advance registration period.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of registrations and all ticketed events must be received in writing via mail at ASEE 2007, ASEE – Convention & Seminar Corporation, P.O. Box 18056-C, Ashburn, VA 20146 or e-mail at registrar@asee.org or fax at (202) 265-8504 ON OR BEFORE MAY 23, 2007. A $50 processing fee will apply to all registration cancellations. Refunds will not be made for no-shows or for requests received after May 23, 2007. No exceptions will be made.

On-Site Registration

On-Site conference registration will be outside of Exhibit Halls I of the Hawaii Convention Center. Attendees for Sunday morning workshops should check-in at registration Saturday afternoon.

Housing Reservations

For best availability and immediate confirmation of your hotel assignment, make your reservations online at www.asee.org/annual2007. Faxed or mailed housing requests will take longer to process, and choice hotels may not be available. The ASEE Housing Office must receive all reservations on or before Wednesday, May 23, 2007.

Confirmation

The ASEE Housing Office will e-mail, fax or mail a confirmation of your reservation within 72 hours of receipt of your request. This is the only confirmation you will receive, DO NOT expect to receive a confirmation from the hotel.

Blocks of rooms may be reserved initially under one company name. A complete and final list of names must be submitted to the Housing Office on or before Wednesday, May 23, 2007.

Housing assistance will be available after Wednesday, May 23, 2007, but availability is limited. At this time housing will not be available online and must be made directly with the ASEE Housing Office by calling (703) 770-3916 or toll-free at (800) 860-5398.

Reservations are made in “real time” so that inventory will be deleted from the rooming block. You may also revisit the site and make necessary cancellations, date and name changes.

Room Deposits

All reservations require a $150 or a $200 deposit, depending on the cost of the room. Reservations cannot be processed without a deposit. Payment may be made by major credit card or check drawn on a U.S. bank made payable to the ASEE Housing Office. Your credit card will be charged immediately, and the deposit will appear on the hotel room account at check-in. All reservations are guaranteed for late arrival.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and date or name changes must be received by Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable after this date.

Hotels/Direct

Hotels cannot process reservation forms. Requests sent directly to hotels or to ASEE headquarters will be substantially delayed. If you need to make additional reservations, copies of the housing form are acceptable. Mail or fax your list with payment information.
