Robert R. Bell has been named president of Tennessee Technical University. Bell had previously served as the dean of the university's College of Business Administration since 1991.

Pius J. Egbelu has been appointed dean of the college of engineering at Louisiana State University. Egbelu was formerly chair of the department of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering at Iowa State University and program director at the National Science Foundation.

Robert Johnson, former chair of mechanical engineering at the University of North Carolina, has recently been named dean of the school's College of Engineering. Johnson was also previously a professor of mechanical engineering.

Linda Lucas has been named dean of the school of engineering at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Lucas was formerly a professor of biomedical engineering.

Gerald Nadler will receive a Distinguished Service Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering.

Douglas Sterrett has been named dean of the school of engineering and natural sciences at the University of Tennessee, Martin. Sterrett was formerly interim chair of the department of engineering.

Daniel Wetzel was recently named dean of the school of engineering, nursing and science at Cedarville College. Wetzel previously served as professor of physics and mathematics.
